Hello

My name is Candice, the creator of Sincerely Candice. Welcome to my little corner of the internet. This blog was created to share tips and resources for those like myself that battle with depression and anxiety. My hope is to create a safe place so we feel a little less alone in the world, a little more understood, and learn how to overcome the battles that come with depression, anxiety, and traumas.

My Story

Hi, I’m Candice—welcome to Sincerely Candice, my little unapologetic corner of the internet. I was born and raised in the Washington, DC metro area, where I still live with my family. I’m a full-time registered nurse, a mama to four amazing kids, and a strong believer that taking care of your mental health is non-negotiable.

Despite the name, this blog isn’t just for the girls—it’s for anyone dealing with depression, anxiety, or trauma. My mental health struggles didn’t start in adulthood; they began in childhood and followed me into real life. After multiple major depressive episodes, a bout of psychosis, and being completely smothered by PTSD symptoms, I decided enough was enough.

About four years ago, I officially said, we’re not doing this anymore, and committed to my healing journey—and continues today. Through therapy, medication, routines, and figuring out which coping skills actually work (not just the cute ones on Instagram), I’ve learned that mental wellness isn’t a phase—it’s a lifestyle that requires intention, boundaries, and a whole lot of self-prioritization.

Sincerely Candice exists to keep it real, break the stigma, and remind you that healing isn’t linear—but it is possible. If you’re struggling, tired, or just trying to make it through the day, you’re in the right place.
